J9299A Overview

The HP ProCurve J9299A is a 28-port managed Gigabit Ethernet switch that provides versatile connectivity for enterprise and campus networks. Out of its 28 ports, 20 are fixed Gigabit RJ-45 ports, while the remaining 4 ports are dual-personality able to function either as RJ-45 copper ports or as SFP fiber uplinks. This hybrid design offers deployment flexibility, making it suitable for both copper-based LANs and fiber-based uplinks to distribution or core layers.Operating at Layer 2, it supports essential features such as VLAN segmentation, spanning tree, trunking, and link aggregation, ensuring network resiliency and logical separation of traffic.
