P10799-001 Overview

The HP P10799-001 is a high-performance 16 Gigabit Fibre Channel (16GFC) SFP+ transceiver designed for both single-mode fiber (SMF) and multi-mode fiber (MMF) applications. It offers flexible deployment options, supporting link distances up to 10km on SMF and up to 100m on OM4 MMF (or 70m on OM3 MMF), depending on the fiber type.Operating at a wavelength of 1310nm (SMF) or 850nm (MMF), this module ensures efficient optical transmission for storage area networks (SANs), high-speed data center interconnects, and enterprise backbone links. It integrates an MPO/LC optical connector for secure, high-density connections and reduced cable management complexity.
