WP18Y Overview

The Dell WP18Y is a 512 GB internal solid-state drive (SSD) designed to upgrade and accelerate storage performance in compatible laptops and desktops that support M.2 2280 NVMe drives. It uses the PCI Express 3.0 x4 interface with NVMe protocol, which allows much faster data transfer speeds compared to traditional SATA SSDs and older storage types, making your system feel more responsive during everyday use, boot-ups, and when handling large files.
Built with 3D TLC NAND flash memory and a DRAM cache buffer, this SSD strikes a good balance of performance, reliability, and endurance for mainstream computing tasks. It delivers sequential read speeds of up to about 3500 MB/s and write speeds up to around 3100 MB/s.
